Al Ma'idah : Supper Series

“Eat the lawful and good things that God provides for you. Be mindful of God, in whom you believe.” (Surah Ma'idah, verse 88)

A Green Deen Tribe Supper Series

Date: Sunday 11th May

Venue: Rumi's Kitchen

120 Craven Park Rd, London, NW10 8QD

Time: 4:00pm to 7:00pm

With the intention of sowing the seeds from our annual 'Ethical Iftar' campaign outside of Ramadan, we invite you to join us as we come together for the launch of our very first Seasonal Supper inshaAllah!

In a world where we are becoming less and less connected with the source of our food, how often do we follow in the footsteps of our Prophet (saw) with what he ate, and the manner in which he ate?

Inspired by Surah Al Ma'idah meaning 'the table spread', Ma'idah is used as inspiration to symbolise coming together over a meal, consisting of both Prophetic produce and seasonal food, and exploring conscious consumption through an Islamic lens.

Don't be late! The programme will begin promptly at 4:00pm with Quran recitation, discussion, reflective activities and Asr in congregation - followed by a delicious home cooked, 3 course vegetarian supper.

Please note that due to the set nature of the menu and potential for cross-contamination, we are unable to accommodate food allergies. As part of our efforts to reduce food waste and our use of disposable plastics, please bring your own reusable Tupperware to take away any leftovers, and your own water bottle!

Kindly note that this series is designed with adult guests in mind and is not suitable for children.

All proceeds from tickets will go towards covering running costs and supporting Green Deen Tribe's work, which operates solely on donations from our community.
